Portuguese cuisine is as rich and varied as its landscape. You can find influences from Brazil, Africa but also romans and Moors. Although different in each region, Portuguese cuisine is based mainly on fish, seafood, rice and spices.
For our “flavors” tour, we will crisscross the Alentejo region, which has one of the most creative gastronomy in Portugal. The Alentejo is a golden plain that disappears as far as the eye can see and combines with the sun and heat to impose their own slow and regular rhythm. Here, bread, pork, garlic and olive oil are staples of tasty cuisine. They are combined with aromatic herbs such as coriander, parsley, rosemary, oregano, royal penny and mint that give a unique touch to the “alentejana” cuisine.
